A Mother's Love

Here is another layout featuring some photos from a few years back when Parker was a newborn baby. They grow up some fast! I think one of my favorite things about scrapbooking is revisiting memories and spending time with them while creating the layout.

The layout is based of a sketch for a challenge at Stuck?! Sketches.
Here is the Sketch:

Here is my layout:

I don't normally use much pink or peach colors since I have two boys, but I loved the dots paper. I played with repeating the different colors throughout the page.

I have so many baby themed embellishments in my stash. For some reason I have put off scrapbooking newborn photos for both boys, so I was happy to use a few.

Grandest Adventure

I've been looking back through some photos, from a few years back when Parker was a baby (I can't believe he will be seven this summer). This layout I wanted to highlight the Winnie-the-pooh hat and blanket Parker had.

Here is the layout:

I found a quote to use for the title. I think the quote was from one of the Disney movies, but was adapted from the book. Anyway it seemed appropriate. I think that becoming a parent and watching your children grow and learn and get to see the world through their eyes is a grand adventure!

Season of Wonder

Hello! Hope you had a Merry Christmas! I have a new layout to share:

The layout is based on a great sketch from Scrap Much?!

I cut some snowflakes with my silhouette machine. I have included links to download the free cut files at the bottom of this post. I normally do stitching by hand, but decided to try using the machine this time. I added a row of decorative stitching below the title and along the sides of one of the flags. The photos are from last year, I have sooo many photos from this Christmas to scrap as well!

Detail of Season of Wonder layout. Thanks for looking!

See the links below to download the file I created and used for the snowflakes in this layout. Download is available in JPEG, SVG, and Studio3 (for use with Silhouette Cutting Machine).

Christmas Morning

Hello, Everyone! It's almost hear. My boys are so excited for Christmas! I had a great time pulling up photos from last year. Landon was about 18 months last Christmas and could not understand why we were waking him up so early on Christmas morning.

The colors were based on the pajamas. The layout was based on a sketch from Scrap Much Sketchy Friday challenge.

Guest Designer: A Day at the Fair

Hey,

Today I am honored to be a guest designer for Pixels and Paper Challenge Blog. The inspiration for this layout is from this image:

Here is the layout:

I was inspired by the bokeh style dots - used on the letters in FAIR and the background. I chose a seasonal theme. I also loved the contrast of the bright art panel against the neutral room decor. I brought that into the layout by using the white background with the colorful papers and elements.

I sketched the tickets and pretzel. I used a chalk white marker to make the salt on pretzel.

For the cotton candy, I wrapped a cotton swap on a piece of sucker stick and used spray mist for color.

Trick or Treat!

Hey! I could hardly wait to use my Halloween page kit, "Frankie and Friends" by Simple Stories. I also had some great black rhinestones and Halloween themed embellishments from a prize pack from the Pixels and Paper Challenge Blog. So I could hardly wait to print out our trick-or-treat photos and work up a Halloween layout. Here is what I came up with:

The layout is based on sketch from the Nov 1 challenge at Stuck!? Sketches

The orange and black button embellishment is from Studio Fourteen40. I cut the spider web with my silhouette machine.

Parker was so excited about being, "Zane" from Ninjago. He loved his throwing stars! Landon however was not excited especially since there were so many people at the mall (it was pouring down rain most of the day). He only wore his dinosaur costume a few minutes. They both enjoyed the candy!

Pumpkin Patch

It's that time of year! We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. I really enjoy this tradition and it's a great time to try to get a few photos of the boys. Here is the layout with a few of the photos I took that day.
